Blue Ridge Ride – Day 4

Just as day 3 ended with a rainstorm, day 4 began with dense fog and rain. I hung around Little Switzerland until 10am hoping that the fog would clear enough to ride but finally gave up and drove to Asheville.

ON my way I stopped at the NC museum of minerals

I parked at the Folk Art Center and decided since it was clear that I would ride north towards Mt Mitchell until the fog and rain turned me back.

I got as far as Mile 7 before the fog set in and I decided to loop. After heading 19 miles south to the French broad and back I thought I would give Mt. Mitchell another go. Dense fog and rain turned me back again and I decided to let the day go with 65 miltes of Asheville area riding.

Not many pics from today as I spent all of my time on 20 miles of roads :(
